QUICKMIX (Autobot NPC - Essence 20 Transformers RPG)

Image
This NPC build utilizes the Transformers Essence20 system by Renegade Game Studios. Unlike my previous builds, this is not a full character build, but more of an NPC build, like the "Threats" the core rulebook has listed for the Decepticons. It is a simpler build to be used by the GM for character representation, rather than a fully-formed PC. Quickmix features as an introductory NPC in the upcoming Transformers adventure: "Beacon of Hope." QUICKMIX Autobot Chemist Quickmix is an absent-minded chemist whose demeanor is nearly as volatile as the chemicals he works with. He is accomplished in his trade, and is readily capable of devising new compounds and ways of combating the Decepticons, but his impatience and absent-mindedness often results in unfinished projects and experiments. He has a short temper and his Autobot allies make sure to give him a wide berth because of it. After all, the dude works with chemicals. This isn't the only reason they might avoid him

DECEPTION VEHICONS (Villain NPCs for the Essence20 Transformers rpg)

This post uses rules based on the Essence20 Transformers rpg by Renegade Game Studios VEHICONS Vehicons may be Megatron and/or Starscream's cannon fodder and suffer from particularly poor marksmanship, but they do possess sweet alternate modes, be they sports cars, jets (a Seeker variant), helicopters, or tanks. If they're not slagged by an Autobot, they can be used for experimentation or even simply recycled for parts by a superior, but that's their lot in life, and by and large, they accept this. Their primary motivation is the thought that someday they might make a name for themselves — literally — and rise to the upper ranks. Thus they have a tendency to follow orders blindly, and are highly expendable. They can appear in a large variety of colors, including black, silver, blue, red, green, yellow, and purple. Vehicons in "TF: Prime" had this appearance: The generic Decepticon Trooper from the "War for Cybertron" video games had this appearance: Wher

TRANSFORMERS: The Autobot Army

Image
The Autobot army on Earth is small in number, which is why Optimus Prime has instituted the concept of "Robots in Disguise" to hide their numbers and keep humanity from becoming aware of a potential alien threat among their population. Optimus is well aware of how fragile humanity is and how they would perceive the appearance of super-advanced aliens in their midst. When the Ark was activated by the eruption of Mt. Hillary in the 1980s, there were only 18 Autobots in fully-functioning order. Within 1 year, that number expanded to 43, thanks to excavating more stasis pods from the damaged Ark. As more of the Ark has been unearthed -- a dangerous and slow process, thanks to the possibility of encountering a magma vent within the volcano -- the number of Autobots currently on Earth is still less than 100. Some of these Autobots have been recovered from the Ark's stasis pods, while others have come to earth following Optimus Prime's transmission and promise of a new home
