QUICKMIX (Autobot NPC - Essence 20 Transformers RPG)

This NPC build utilizes the Transformers Essence20 system by Renegade Game Studios.

Unlike my previous builds, this is not a full character build, but more of an NPC build, like the "Threats" the core rulebook has listed for the Decepticons. It is a simpler build to be used by the GM for character representation, rather than a fully-formed PC.

Quickmix features as an introductory NPC in the upcoming Transformers adventure: "Beacon of Hope."

QUICKMIX
Autobot Chemist
Quickmix is an absent-minded chemist whose demeanor is nearly as volatile as the chemicals he works with. He is accomplished in his trade, and is readily capable of devising new compounds and ways of combating the Decepticons, but his impatience and absent-mindedness often results in unfinished projects and experiments. He has a short temper and his Autobot allies make sure to give him a wide berth because of it. After all, the dude works with chemicals. This isn't the only reason they might avoid him though, since despite his own absent-minded nature Quickmix often seeks to give his teammates helpful "advice" on how to do their jobs, sometimes even in the middle of a battle.

PERKS
Mode Conversion (Cement Truck): Cybertronians spend a Standard Action to convert between Bot-Mode and Alt-Mode.
Targetmaster: Quickmix can attack twice when he uses the Attack action with a ranged weapon.
Walk Them Through It: Allies without ranks in Technology or Science can Lend Assistance to Quickmix on Technology and Science Skill Tests.
Boomer and Ricochet: Quickmix has two Mini-Con allies that follow the standrad rules for Mini-Cons. These Mini-Cons assume the form of his sonic cannon and auto-blaster in their Alt-Mode.

Boomer, Sonic Cannon (Targeting): d2, Range 25 ft./ 80 ft. (1 Sonic Damage Blast, 10 ft.)

  • Hands: 1

  • Traits: Ballistic, Locked, Sonic, Sidearm, Wrecker

Heavy Mace (Might): d4, Reach (1 Stun Damage)

  • Alternate Effect: 1 Blunt Damage (2 hands)

  • Traits: Blunt, Silent

Ram (Driving): d4, Reach (2 Blunt Damage)

  • Alternate Effects: Maneuver

  • Requirements: Alt-Mode Only, requires moving 10 ft. before attacking target

  • Traits: Integrated

Ricochet, Auto-Blaster (Targeting): d2, Range 25 ft. / 80 ft. (1 Sharp Damage)

  • Hands: 1

  • Traits: Ballistic, Locked, Sidearm


POWERS

Augment Power (1/turn, Free): Quickmix can give an ally ↑1 on a Skill Test. Once per combat, he can give an ally ↑2 on a Skill Test.

Overcharge Engines (1/turn, Free): Quickmis makes a Technology Skill Test. Until the end of his turn, increase his Movement a number of feet equal to his Skill Test result, rounded up to the nearest 5. This movement ignores Rough Terrain.


GEAR

Armor: Medium Armor Matrix (+2 Toughness)


HANGUPS

Volatile: Quickmix is short-tempered and absent-minded. When making an Alertness Skill Test to gain a better understanding of potential danger to others, he takes a ↓1.
