SPRINGER (Essence20 Transformers NPC)

 As my most recent Transformers build was Arcee, I thought I'd go with her partner Springer as the next build.

Springer as introduced in the 1986 Transformers: The Movie as an optimistic, one-liner-speaking Autobot. He was featured as a regular in season 3 of the G1 animated series.

He always stood out as one of the few in the Autobot ranks as a triple-changer.

In my own personal TF campaign, Springer was captured by the Decepticons some time ago, and experimented upon by the scientist Shockwave. He was the test-bot to see if the Triple-changer function was viable. After its success, Shockwave would go on to modify other Decepticons, such as Blitzwing, Astrotrain, Octain, and even Megatron!

Elements of this build have been borrowed from a Springer build created by "Okeeeey" on Reddit.

This build uses the Essence20 Transformers rpg by Renegade Games Studios.

PERKS

Fast Conversion: Cybertronians spend a Free Action to convert between Bot Mode and Alt-Mode.

Helical Spring: Springer rolls with the physics when he switches between Modes, boosting him forward. When he converts to Bot-Mode, he can move 10 feet as part of the action to convert. When he converts to either Alt-Mode, he can Flyby or Ram without needing to move 10 feet first. Springer may only benefit from Helical Spring once per turn.

Partnered (Arcee): Springer can always Lend Assistance using a Free Action to his partner, Arcee, as long as they are within sight of each other.

Spring Into Action!: Springer can move an additional 10 feet as part of an Attack Action. He cannot be targeted by attacks made as part of a Contingency Action when he uses this Movement.

POWERS

Optimistic (1/Scene, Free): Springer has a talent for uplifting allies when they need it most. All allies within 60 feet who can hear Springer gain an Edge on all Skill Tests to resist conditions for 1 minute.

Wind Tunnel (1/Scene, Standard, Aerial Alt-Mode Only): Springer generates a powerful wind current with his helicopter blades. All creatures in a 30 foot cone in front of him must make a DIF 19 Brawn Skill Test or be pushed back 15 feet.

HANGUPS

Up For Any Fight: Whenever Springer is confronted with an enemy with a Threat Level greater than his own, he will always try to attack them on his first turn.
