SLINGSHOT
"I'm even better than I think."
Slingshot is a member of the Autobots' air support sub-group, the Aerialbots. He functions as the team's ground support unit, a role which the other Aerialbots would say they have no need for. Whether that statement rings true or not doesn't matter, not so long as the team are able to distance themselves from Slingshot as long as feasibly possible.
Slingshot is not a 'bot that's easy to like. He is extremely egotistical and arrogant, bragging constantly over even the most trivial things. It could be that his brash attitude is a cover to try and hide his own feelings of inadequacy: Slingshot is the slowest of the Aerialbots and has an unorthodox method of flying that takes its toll on his systems, meaning he requires more maintenance than his comrades.
Surprisingly, however, Optimus Prime turns a blind optical sensor to Slingshot's faults and is very supportive of him as he sees, and he might be the only one who does, that Slingshot is nonetheless a loyal and hardworking soldier, qualities that he believes merit his understanding and trust.

Seeker: Slingshot assumes the Alt-Mode of a Sea Harrier FRS Mk-II.
Role and Focus
Gunner (Cannonade): Slingshot’s primary function is to assault ground forces to help keep the skies clear of enemy fire.

Gaining Slingshot As A Contact
Fellow Autobot: If this Contact is on scene, the PCs can summon them for 1 round.
Wargames: Slingshot like to keep in proper flying shape. If the PCs spend their downtime helping Slingshot participate in wargames and target practice, succeeding on three DIF 15 Driving, Initiative, and Targeting Skill Tests, they chain Slingshot as a permanent Contact.
Allegiance Points: 3
Contact Perks
Gifted (2 Allegiance Points): Slingshot is even buffer than he thinks he is. A PC gains an Edge and ↑1 on their next Skill Test. If they attempt to perform a Skill Test with an unskilled ability, they do not suffer a Snag.
Ground Bombardment (3 Allegiance Points): Slingshot bombards the region with airstrikes and bombs. All Threats suffer 2 Sharp Damage.
VTOL (1 Allegiance Point): Slingshot’s Harrier form allows him to perform Vertical Take Offs and Landings. A PC with an Aerial Movement may use their flight to travel directly upward or downward without suffering any rough terrain or other movement impairment effects.
