More adventures in the Crypts!


Area 17

The door to this room is closed but not locked. An inscription on the door, in Common, reads:


“Speak the Celestial Name of The Fallen and He will alight your path.”


This is a clue to the magical effect that can occur in this room.

Inside the room is a large iron brazier affixed to the floor in the northern alcove. The brazier seems to burn with a fire that emits bright light, but does not shed any heat. This is a permanent continual flame effect that was placed here years ago, as the evil cult was excavating the crypts. If a stick, pole, torch, or other wooden object is placed into the brazier and the name “Morningstar” is spoken, the object in the brazier can then be pulled out. It will shed light at though a light cantrip has been cast upon it for 1 hour.

Fastball Special (Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition)

In Marvel Comics, there are few combat maneuvers as noteworthy as The Fastball Special . This is a combo-maneuver that requires the use of two teammates skilled in working alongside each other. One of the teammates (the "pitcher") must have superhuman strength, while the second (the "ball") requires some form of exceptional melee attack and not a small amount of damage resistance.  The Fastball Special was originated by the X-Men Colossus and Wolverine, and featured Colossus using his super-strength to pick up Wolverine and throw him deep into the ranks of the villains or high up towards flying enemies. Once thrown, Wolverine, stretches himself out to be as aerodynamic as possible, and extends his claws so they are what the enemies first encounter as he slams into a foe. Worlds Collide After Action Report (MiracleCon 2024)

Recently, I was asked by a former co-worker -- also a popular gamer and GM in the local area -- if I would be interested in being a GM for the World's Collide mega adventure produced by Renegade Games Studios for the Essence20 rpg. This adventure crosses over the GIJoe, Power Rangers, and Transformers sessions, all of which use the same game system, so they work relatively seamless with each other.
