Area 22

The door to this stairway is closed but unlocked.

The stairway is brightly illuminated by a pair of everburning torches found to either side of the stair.

These stairs go downward into the second area of the Temple.

Circuit Breaker Threat Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

Image
For today's article, we focus on one of the unique villains from the Transformers Marvel Comics: Circuit Breaker! If you enjoy this article, please support me on my Patreon . Or buy me a KoFi . This is unofficial, fan made material using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios. I am 100% convinced that Circuit Breaker, who was released as a  character in 1985, was the inspiration for the Borg in Star Trek: TNG in 1989; and almost certainly the inspiration for Seven of Nine... just look at that haircut! Circuit Breaker (aka Josie Beller) Circuit Breaker is a villain whose pathological hatred of robots knows no bounds. She refuses to make the distinction between Autobot and Decepticon, blaming the Transformer race as a whole for the attack which left her crippled. As such, she is more likely to do harm to the Autobot cause than to be of assistance. Circuit Breaker was originally the genius Josie Beller. Hired by Blackrock Enterprises only a few years out of high scho...

Bludgeon Threat Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

Image
As of this posting, last night I ran a short session of the GIJoe Roleplaying Game for some folks on the BAMF Podcast. You can find the video for that game here . If you dont want to watch the full thing, tl/dr is that they are undercover GIJoe agents in Cobra who discover that Cobra's new weapons supplier are actually a faction of alien robots (Decepticons). In the session, their Decepticon contact is the Pretender Bludgeon, who is just a cool character. I was introduced to Bludgeon through the Marvel Comics, where he first appeared as the leader of the Mayhem Attack Squad. In this story, they hunted down a bunch of Autobots unto the Cybertron underworld and discovered the hidden chamber of Primus himself. The events of this story led to the big Unicron battle of the comics... so, highly memorable! Bludgeon would go on to become a major character in the series from this point on. When Thunderwing, Scorponok, and Shockwave -- all the Decepticon leaders who came before him -- had be...

Strider, 5th Edition Fighter Subclass

Here is my Ranger-themed Fighter Subclass: The Strider! If you enjoy this material, please send me money via my KoFi . Rangers Suck. At least that is what I keep hearing.  And then I look at the Ranger Class and give it a good long read and comparison to other 5e classes, and you know what? Rangers suck.  They are supposed to fill this special niche in the game as roaming wilderness warriors and keepers of nature. But to be honest, a fighter or barbarian with the Survival skill can get along just as well, if not better than the ranger, and druids are far more in tune with nature than rangers are presented. I think the big problem is the role that rangers are trying to fill. They are represented by one major figure in all of popular fantasy culture – Aragorn of the Lord of the Rings trilogy – and even he is not a dedicated ranger; he’s a multiclass ranger / paladin! I am hard pressed to think of a number of other major pop culture figures that fill the “ranger” class. All I can...
