BENSOZIA (5th Edition Fiendish NPC)
Bensozia, the Queen of Hell, and wife of Asmodeus, is a fiend of great power and importance. She deserves to be every bit as interesting a character as her husband (and daughter); deserving to be much more than a means for which Asmodeus to reorganize Hell in the event of her death.
I honestly hate that TSR did that to her. And that WotC kept it as a backstory plot point for the Nine Hells. Levistus is an uninteresting villain; there are many other scheming archdevils from which to choose. Whereas Bensozia has tons of potential!
Thus, in my personal campaign, she is still around and has her own machinations.

BENSOZIA
Bensozia is a tall statuesque, human-appearing devil. She has long white hair, large glistening black eyes, scarlet skin, large brown hooves, and a forked tail. She always wears loose black robes with a scarlet silk lining within, and, as Queen of Hell, a diadem of beaten gold set with large rubies (total value 26,000 gp).

Devil’s Sight. Magical darkness doesn’t impede Bensozia’s darkvision.
Legendary Resistance (3/day). If Bensozia fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.
Magic Resistance. Bensozia has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Magic Weapons. Bensozia’s weapon attacks are magical.
Regeneration. Bensozia regains 10 hit points at the start of her turn. If she takes radiant damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of her next turn. Bensozia dies only if she starts her turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.
ACTIONS
Multiattack. Bensozia makes two melee weapon attacks.
Bronze Scepter. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage. If the target is good-aligned or is a devil, the target takes an additional 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage.
Fearsome Word. Bensozia can speak to a target creature, forcing them to make a DC 20 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature’s saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to Bensozia’s Fearsome Word for the next 24 hours.
Innate Spellcasting. Bensozia’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 20, +12 spell attack). She can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: animate dead, charm monster, counterspell, detect magic, detect thoughts, dispel magic, fireball, identify, lightning bolt, pyrotechnics, produce flame, sending (only to Asmodeus), suggestion, wish (granted to others only)
2/day: finger of death
1/day: heal (self only)
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) bludgeoning damage.
Teleport. Bensozia magically teleports, along with any equipment she is wearing and carrying, up to 120 feet to an unoccupied space she can see.
LEGENDARY ACTIONS
Bensozia can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Bensozia regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.
Attack. Bensozia makes a Melee Weapon attack.
Summon Devil (3 actions). Bensozia magically summons 1 pit fiend (50%) or 2 horned devils (50%) to aid her as allies.
Teleport. Bensozia uses her Teleport action.
