 The Fresno Nightcrawler -- aka the Fresno Alien or the Haunted Pants -- is a modern-day cryptid that has been seen on camera and video footage in the Fresno, California area.

ATTACKS

Fearsome Presence: As an Action, the Fresno Nightcrawler can exude an aura of terror. Each creature within Nearby distance and aware of the nightcrawler’s presence must succeed on a DC 10 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened until the end of their next turn.

Kick: +2 melee attack (1d8+2 bludgeoning damage). 

ABILITIES

Immunities: As the Fresno Nightcrawler has no apparent eyes or other sensory organs, it is immune to sensory attacks. It cannot be blinded or deafened.

Pounce: If the Fresno Nightcrawler moves straight toward a Nearby creature and then hits it with a kick attack on the same turn, that target must make a DC 12 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the nightcrawler can make one kick attack against it as a free action.

Sneaky: A Fresno Nightcrawler has Advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks.

Fastball Special (Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition)

In Marvel Comics, there are few combat maneuvers as noteworthy as The Fastball Special . This is a combo-maneuver that requires the use of two teammates skilled in working alongside each other. One of the teammates (the "pitcher") must have superhuman strength, while the second (the "ball") requires some form of exceptional melee attack and not a small amount of damage resistance.  The Fastball Special was originated by the X-Men Colossus and Wolverine, and featured Colossus using his super-strength to pick up Wolverine and throw him deep into the ranks of the villains or high up towards flying enemies. Recently, I was asked by a former co-worker -- also a popular gamer and GM in the local area -- if I would be interested in being a GM for the World's Collide mega adventure produced by Renegade Games Studios for the Essence20 rpg.
