Swoop Contact (Transformers Essence20 rpg)
Today we finish off the original five Dinobots by presenting the Contact build for the high-flying Swoop!

Swoop
“Fear can hit targets unreachable to bullets.”
Swoop is the friendliest and most outgoing of the Dinobots. He's surprisingly good natured, kind, and upbeat. Few of his comrades realize this however, as his team's reputation and his alt-form, considered (for some reason) particularly "horrifying" to Transformer aesthetics, makes others wary of getting close enough to learn about the bot himself. Swoop is an excellent aerial combatant and bombardier, and has become skilled at using the fear his alt mode creates in battle. He considers it his greatest weapon. Like all the Dinobots, Swoop tends to be arrogant, disobedient, and generally disagreeing with Optimus Prime's leadership style. He's also a bit of a show-off.
Influences
Cybertronian Military (Air Force), Experiment: On Cybertron, Swoop was a member of the Elite Flying Corps who had a strained relationship at best with his commanding officer Optimus Prime and a deadly rivalry with the Decepticon Divebomb. Afterwards, he fell in with Grimlock's Lightning Attack Squad before becoming an experiment at the hands of Shockwave.
Origin
Seeker: Swoop’s alt-mode is that of a pteranodon. However, given its resemblance to legendary Predacons of ancient times, this form is particularly horrifying to other Cybertronians. Swoop is simply in love with the wings. Though he doesn't hate his previous form, he has taken great pride in his newly-found gift of flight.
Role and Focus
Infantry (Artillery): Swoop revels in the freedom his Pteranodon mode offers, as it possesses capabilities that surpass the most advanced fighter jets.

Gaining Swoop As A Contact
Personable, For A Dinobot: Swoop very much looks at life as an adventure. Laid back, quick with the jibs, and carefree, Swoop found a new lease on life as a result of Shockwave's experiments. If the PCs spend their downtime with Swoop hanging out and swapping stories of good times, and succeed on three DIF 16 Culture, Performance, or Persuasion Skill Tests, they gain Swoop as a permanent Contact.

Contact Perks
Bombs Away! (3 Allegiance Points): Swoop unleashes his bombs on the battlefield. The player character selects a 50-foot radius burst area. All Threats in the area take 2 Fire Damage and the area becomes rough terrain.
Eye in the Sky (2 Allegiance Points): From his aerial vantage point, Swoop can see far and wide. All PCs have ↑1 on their next Alertness Skill Test until the end of the scene.
Fearsome Presence (1 Allegiance Point): Swoop considers fear his greatest weapon. He enjoys watching enemies scatter before him as he dives down from the sky. A PC gains Edge on their next Intimidation Skill Test.
