Blades Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 RPG)

The new Transformers Contact Build is for the first of the Protectobots: Blades.

This is unofficial, fan-made content using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios.

BLADES

"War's a dirty game - and I'm a dirty player!"

Blades will never be the Autobot poster child. He's a dirty, underhanded street brawler at heart and proud of it. The fact that his alternate mode and function as air support can keep him at a distance from combat infuriates him. Blades would rather use his rotors to gut a Decepticon from antenna to tailpipe than to fly. When he fights, he wants to feel his enemies' fuel spraying across his steel skin. Blades does his job and does it darn well, but if there's a way to get his hands dirty in the process, you can bet your processor he'll find it.

Influences

Gestalt Member, Hunter, Security: Millions of years ago on Cybertron, before the war with the Decepticons, Blades was part of an Autobot security force in the city of Kaon. His squad was tasked with hunting down the renegade operators of gladiatorial contests in the degenerate slum areas of Cybertron.

Origin

Support: Blades assumes the Alt-Mode of a Bell UH-IV Iroquois rescue helicopter.

Role and Focus

Warrior (Pugilist): Blades prefers to get his hands dirty than fight from afar.

Gaining Blades As A Contact

Wannabe Wrecker: Blades longs for the day where he can join the ranks of the Wreckers to dedicate his life to smashing ‘Cons. If a PC has the Wreckers as a faction, they gain Blades as a temporary Contact.

Allegiance Points: 3

Contact Perks

Aerial Recon (2 Allegiance points): Blades uses his vantage as an eye in the sky to point out dangers. The PCs become aware of all Threats and Hazards on the battlefield of the current combat scene, even if hidden or concealed.

Airlift (1 Allegiance Point): Blades has become accustomed to being used as a rescue helicopter. A PC can move, as if Flying, to any location in the combat scene up to 60 ft from their current location.

Dust Storm (3 Allegiance Points): Blades uses his rotors to kick up dust and debris, blinding his enemies. All Threats suffer a Snag to all Alertness and Attack-based Skill Tests until the end of their turn.
