First Aid Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

Continuing with the Protectobots, today's contact build is for First Aid,  who is a stark contrast from the previous Blades build, in that he fits with the Protectobots theme, rather than railing against it.

This is unofficial, fan-made content using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios.

FIRST AID

"An ounce of maintenance is worth a pound of cure."

First Aid is one of the most empathic and compassionate beings you'll ever meet. He cares deeply about all living things. Heck, he even cares deeply about the "pain" of inanimate objects. A broken or malfunctioning can-opener will earn just as much sympathy and attention as a fellow Autobot. Otherwise, First Aid is a soft-spoken and sometimes overly cautious sort (especially when it comes to the well-being of a fellow Autobot). Still, all the Autobots know he will work long and hard to do his best for them and that their well-being matters to him more than anything, and those are quite comforting thoughts.

Caretaker, Cybertronian Military (First Responder): First Aid is always at the ready to help others  in need.

Support:  First Aid assumes the Alt-Mode of a Toyota Town Ace Ambulance.

Role and Focus

Scientist (Medical Officer): Compassionate, cautious – will restrict an Autobot to repair bay for a faulty directional signal.

Essence Scores and Skills

Strength 4: Brawn +d6, Might +d2

Speed 4: Driving +d4, Initiative +d2, Targeting +d2

Smarts 9: Science (Medicine) +d6, Technology (Repair) +d8

Social 6: Animal Handling +d4, Persuasion +d4, Streetwise +d4

Gaining First Aid As A Contact

Fellow Autobot: If this Contact is on scene, the PCs can summon them for 1 round.

Medic!: First Aid bonds  with others who share his profession. If a PC is a Medical Officer Scientist or has the Science (Medicine) and/or Technology (Repair) Specializations, they can gain First Aid as a temporary Contact.

Pacifist: First Aid is a medic, not a warrior. He refuses to fight, despite being deployed alongside the other Protectobots. If a PC spends their turns in a Combat Scene helping their allies or bystanders do anything other than attacking enemies, they gain First Aid as a permanent Contact.

Allegiance Points: 3

Contact Perks

Ambulance (1 Allegiance Point): First Aid evacuates the injured  in his ambulance form. A PC suffering at least 1 Damage moves at double their normal speed, if they take the Sprint Action.

Decrystalizer Cannon (3 Allegiance  Points): First Aid uses his weapon to weaken the armor of his enemies. Select up to 3 Threats in the combat scene. These Threats lose all their Armor Upgrades until the end of the scene.

Triage (2 Allegiance Points): By prioritizing injuries, First Aid knows how to handle multiple patients at the same time. A PC can make a Science (medicine) or Technology (Repair) Skill Test as a Free Action until the end of their turn.
