Superion Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

This build is the first gestalt combiner Contact Build: Here is the combined form of the Aerialbots: Superion.

The Autobots try not to rely on the power of their Combiners, as it places more than one Autobot in danger of severe injury in battle. Rather, whenever they are faced with the mounting power of a Decepticon combiner, the Autobot try to call on the power of the guardian Omega Supreme; who is more than willing to test their mettle against a Con combiner. Otherwise, the Autobots tend to rely on the awesome physical power of the Dinobots to fight off enemy combiners.

The Aerialbots are also a  special case, as they form the bulk of the Autobot air force. So few Autobots have the ability to fly or convert into a flying vehicle. This makes the Aerialbots invaluable to the Autobot cause and to help defend the skies against the aerial superiority held by the Decepticons. Converting from five capable warriors into one giant bot makes them too big a target and helps focus the enemy firepower in their direction.

SUPERION

"To live is to fight; to die is to stop."

As the first of the Autobot combiners, Superion is an imperfect warrior at best. In other gestalt Transformers, the mental aspect of combination has famously resulted in instability and insanity, as disparate personalities have been meshed into one mismatched whole. Superion aims to overcome this not by achieving a more thorough melding of the minds, but rather, by shutting out all the different, conflicting personalities of the Aerialbots who compose him. He suppresses absolutely everything save for his dedication to the destruction of the Decepticons, and his rival Menasor in particular — something that he is especially good at, despite the fact that his strangled thought processes leave him struggling to innovate or adapt to new tactics in battle. Other Autobots mistakenly interpret this single-mindedness and inability to engage on a social level as aloofness, as if Superion considered himself to be above his teammates, but he is truly physically and mentally incapable of giving any more of himself.

Superion is made up of the five Aerialbots:

Silverbolt (torso)

Slingshot (left arm)

Air Raid (left leg)

Fireflight (right arm)

Skydive (right leg)

Aerial Superiority (2 Allegiance Points): Superion harries enemy flyers, affecting all flying Threats as if suffering from rough terrain and inflicting a Snag on one Skill Test until the end of the turn.

Let’s Fly! (2 Allegiance Points): Superion picks up the PCs and carries them anywhere on the battlefield within 60 ft. of their current/starting position.

Superion Smash (2 Allegiance Points): Superion loves nothing more than to smash Decepticons. A single Threat suffers 4 Blunt Damage.
