Pointblank Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

Image
Today's Contact Build is the Targetmaster Pointblank. This character never really stood out to me, and reading his background and tech spec, now I know why. If you enjoy this content, please help support my friend Owen and his recovery from cancer. This is unofficial, fan-made content using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios. POINTBLANK " Be brief of speech and long on action ." Pointblank would say that war is hell, if he wasn't a bot of very few words. Words make arguments, and arguments make wars, and he wants no more of those. That isn't to say he's a poor fighter. He just wants a quiet place to sit down with a good datatrack and a glass of frosty energon, without a Decepticon missile spoiling everything, and if he should find himself pounding the ever-loving lock washers out of the shooter of that missile, it isn't because he bears grudges or even out of regret for the waste of a good drink. No, it's just on general principle...

Transformers One Sourcebook!

Image
Renegade Games Studios just announced the preorder release of the Transformers One rpg sourcebook . https://renegadegamestudios.com/transformers-roleplaying-game-transformers-one-sourcebook I finally get to discuss this project, as I have been under an NDA for the last several months.  Only a week after I originally saw the film, I was contacted by Ben Heisler from Renegade Games Studios asking about my interest in doing some freelance writing for the TF rpg. I could not say "yes" fast enough. Transformers has always been my bag, since I discovered them. I was the perfect age and the absolute target demographic when they were released  in 1984. I was 7 years old and looking for a toy series to follow, as I was forbidden from following my original interest: Masters of the Universe. I had religiously-strict parents, the Satanic panic of the 80s was in full sing, and MOTU had magical and supernatural themes to it, making the show a "no-no" in terms of my being allowed ...

Crosshairs Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

Image
Our subject today is the Autobot Weapons Supervisor: Crosshairs Originally created as one of the original Targetmasters, Crosshairs did not feature prominently in any of the American cartoons, as the "Season Four" three-part episode that introduced the Headmasters and Targetmasters was the end of the G1 era of cartoons in the USA. And, as I've never seen the Japanese Headmaster series that continued the G1 continuity, I cannot say how he was featured there. He made occasional appearances in the Marvel G1 comic, as much as any character in what was becoming a massive roster, as each new toy wave was produced. But he never really stood out. Crosshairs really came into prominence with the Michael Bay films, where he was featured as the Autobot's master gunfighter. His robot form came complete with a metallic long coat to complete his bad-boy look.  This article is unofficial, fan-made content using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios. Throttlebots (Transformers Contact Build)

Image
The subjects for this article are the Throttlebots , a team of Autobots who share a group dynamic. If you enjoy this content please help support my friend Owen and his fight with cancer . The Throttlebots are a team of Autobots operating as the personal agents and operatives of the Autobot Espionage Director: Goldbug (formerly Bumblebee). They often serve as Goldbug’s couriers, spies, scouts, and saboteurs. The Throttlebots are: Chase (red Ferrari Testarossa) — an impatient scout; Freeway (blue Chevrolet Corvette C4) — a thin-skinned comedian; Rollbar (green Jeep CJ-7) — a rough-riding macho tracker; Searchlight (white Ford RS200) — a quiet and reclusive spy; Wideload (orange dump truck) — a vain and judgmental hauler. CHASE " Hunters drive; targets park ." As a warrior, Chase's (aka Roadburn) only outstanding asset is his staunch courage, but it's his attitude that earns him his many friends in the Autobot ranks. Yes, he's a motor-mouthed braggart and rather full...
