Sureshot Contact Build (Transformers Essence20 rpg)

The contact build today is the Autobot Targetmaster: Sureshot!

This was the one Targetmaster toy I possessed from the G1 series, and he was still rather un-noteworthy besides the fact that he is supposed to be the absolute BEST SHOT of the Autobot army. And has the ego to prove it as often as needed. Besides that... yeah, not much of a character there.

This is unofficial, fan-made content using the Transformers Essence20 rpg by Renegade Games Studios

SURESHOT

"Believing in yourself improves your aim better than target practice."

Sureshot is an ego that holds a gun.

He's too skillful for his chestplate, too skillful for his chestplate.

His shooting is great.

And he's too much for Iacon and even Cybertron,

Femax and Nebulon.

And he's too skillful to take orders

Or work with stupid stubbies.

The big red guy can stuff it.

He's a marksman—you know what that means—

And he shoots his laser gun on the front lines...

On the front lines, on the front lines, yeah.

He shoots his laser gun on the front lines.

And he's too skillful for this song...

Sureshot would probably be pleased if a toy company produced a replica of his marvelous self, but extremely annoyed if said replica were a redeco of an Optimus Prime toy.

Influences

Binary Bonded, Specialist (Targeting): Sureshot's Targetmaster partner Spoilsport is just as good at marksmanship as him, and he hates that.

Origin

Outrider: Sureshot assumes the alt-mode of a Cybertronian dune buggy.

Role and Focus

Gunner (Sharpshooter): His confidence borders on arrogance - can hit targets blindfolded, from memory.

Gaining Sureshot As A Contact

Fellow Autobot: If this Contact is on scene, the PCs can summon them for 1 round.

Tell Me Again How Great I Am: Sureshot knows he’s good, but likes to hear it from others anyway. If a PCs spends their downtime showering Sureshot with embellishments, succeeding on three DIF 16 Deception or Persuasion Skill Tests, they gain Sureshot as a permanent Contact.

Allegiance Points: 3

Contact Perks

Aim Around the Armor (2 Allegiance Points): Sureshot can find the weak spot in any armor. If a PC takes the Aim Free Action with their next Targeting Skill Test, they ignore all armor benefits worn by their target.

Laser Barrage (1 Allegiance Point): Sureshor blasts enemies with weapons fire. A Threat suffers 2 Laser Damage. Additional Allegiance Points may be spent to target extra enemies.

Spoilsport (3 Allegiance Points): Sureshot lends a PC the use of his MiniCon Targetmaster. Until the end of the scene, a PC has a Blaster with the Deadly, Laser Beam, and Laser Sight Upgrades. As Spoilsport is a Targetmaster, he can use Lend Assistance to help his wielder’s Targeting Skill Tests.
